Farewell to Our Treasured Colleagues and Friends

Farewell to Our Treasured Colleagues and Friends
July 22, 2022

In June 2022, we said farewell and celebrated the life of a beloved staff member and friend, Erin Higgins. Erin tragically passed due to health reasons. As Central Coast ARAFMI’s Peer Worker, and an active voice for the mental health lived-experience, Erin’s contribution to the community spans across peer development consultancy groups and leadership roles.

Erin was also pivotal in the development of our award-winning Recovery Alliance and received an award for our organisation from the Hon Julia Gillard MP in 2018.

Erin’s light and legacy will be remembered by family, friends, and the mental health community with tremendous appreciation and love in our hearts.

This month we also lost our dear friend, mentor and mental health advocate, Keiran Booth. Keiran dedicated decades to his passion for community and positive impact on the less vulnerable.

Keiran’s roles included CC ARAFMI President, NSW Mental Health Carers CEO and Central Coast Community Council CEO. Keiran was a generous supporter of our programs over many years. Our thoughts and love are with Keiran’s family at this time.
